Frere System introduced an unusual SSD, which was the first of its kind. Made in collaboration with OWC, the SSD uses a solid state cooling system. The one called AirJet was announced earlier this year .
64TB SSD with revolutionary solid state cooling.
The SSD is called the Mercury Pro U.2 Dual and has a capacity of 64TB. As the name implies, this is a solution with a U.2 interface, that is, designed for servers. It is made in the form factor of 3.5 inches.
In general, we are talking more about data storage, although in a press release the company calls it that, and it is a solid state drive. But technically, this is a device inside which eight 8 TB SSDs are installed. Each drive is cooled by its own AirJet Mini system.
The manufacturer talks about a data transfer rate of 2200-2700 MB / s. Unfortunately, there is no release date for this product on the market yet.
