Sony Xperia 10 V introduced with IP68, 3.5 mm jack, MicroSD card slot

For 450 euros

Alongside its flagship Sony Xperia 1 V, the Japanese company has announced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Xperia 10 V. It is the world’s lightest smartphone with a 5000 mAh battery on the market. The device weighs only 159g.

The Sony Xperia 10 V retains the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 single-chip system with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, like the Xperia 10 IV. Free space can be expanded using microSD memory cards.

The 6.1-inch 1080p OLED display is 1.5 times brighter than its predecessor, according to Sony. However, it still supports a frequency of no higher than 60 Hz, which seems strange even for mid-range smartphones in 2023. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, but the back and frame are plastic.

The Sony Xperia 10 V features a 48-megapixel 1/2-inch optical sensor with 0.8µm pixels and an F/1.8 lens with optical image stabilization. The smartphone also received an 8-megapixel telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle model of the same resolution. Both are equipped with f/2.2 aperture lenses. There is another 8-megapixel camera on the front.

The Sony Xperia 10 V is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that promises to retain at least 80% capacity after three years. Charging power was not disclosed.

The smartphone received protection against water and dust IP65 / 68, a 3.5 mm audio jack with Hi-Res sound support and front stereo speakers.
