Home Game Consoles

There will be no updated Xbox Series consoles anytime soon.

But are the developers happy with it?

It seems that no new Xbox Series X Pro (the name is fictitious) should be expected in the near future. The head of Microsoft’s gaming division, Phil Spencer, unexpectedly quite bluntly stated that the company has no such plans.

This is not the kind of feedback we’re getting right now. Right now we are pretty well tuned in to the equipment we have.

Spencer added that Microsoft does not have an imperative to increase the power of the Xbox series consoles. Of course, this does not mean that enhanced versions of the Xbox Series will not be released later, but until now, neither Microsoft nor Sony have spoken so directly about this.

That being said, the same upcoming and long-awaited Starfield game will only run at 30fps on both current Xbox consoles , and quite a few other modern games do the same. However, it is difficult to say whether this is a consequence of the weakness of the current generation of consoles already now, or the unwillingness of developers to spend time and money on additional optimization.
