The macOS version works identically to the Windows version
Last month, Canon released a beta version of EOS Webcam Utility for Windows, which allowed PC owners to turn compatible EOS and PowerShot cameras into webcams for use in video conferencing applications such as Skype and Zoom.

The other day, Canon announced that the same utility is now available for macOS users, providing the functionality described above to owners of Apple computers. According to Canon, the Windows version has been downloaded “tens of thousands” times, and the most requested feature was support for computers with macOS.
The macOS version works identically to the Windows version. To connect the camera (a full list of compatible models is available on the Canon website ) you will need a USB cable.
