The popular platform for communication between gamers and others, Discord, is smiling at the new owner.
According to unofficial information, Microsoft is currently negotiating with the owners of the Discord platform for a purchase that would amount to as much as 10 billion dollars.
Not to be “imaginative stories”, the sources of these rumours are the GamesBeat and Bloomberg portals, which have a proven reputation for revealing information ahead of time.
According to their information, Discord has been looking for a buyer for a long time, ie a private company in which it is owned, and Microsoft is a great opportunity because it certainly has the capital and ambition to bring this huge platform under its own and integrate it into the Xbox ecosystem.
Discord has over 140 million monthly active users, and in addition to all that, it offers a Nitro service that would fit in conveniently within the Xbox Game Pass service, play.co.rs reports.
