All thanks to the unique suspension and vehicle body control system

The premiere of the new BYD YangWang U9 supercar, which has many features that you would not expect from electric vehicles, took place in Shanghai. In particular, he received a unique suspension system, unlike any other.

Presenting the electric supercar in China, the developers showed how it goes on stage, swaying from side to side and changing the suspension height independently on different wheels. At the end of the video, the sports car is shown bouncing, taking all four wheels off the stage.

This is all thanks to a new adaptive suspension system similar to the one previously introduced by BYD (the parent company of YangWang).

However, during the presentation, another intriguing video was shown, which shows how a bright yellow supercar moves along a rough road on three wheels. It does not have the right front wheel, and the suspension system adjusts the clearance so that the car does not touch the roadway. It is unlikely that drivers will use this feature often, but it will come in handy if the wheel is damaged if there is no tow truck nearby.

BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu said that the first self-developed intelligent vehicle body control system marks “a breakthrough from zero to one.”

BYD notes that this system can also be used to reduce body roll, minimize the risk of rollover, assist with hard acceleration and emergency braking.

The car is equipped with a 1100-horsepower power plant, accelerates to 100 km / h in just 2 seconds and is able to travel about 700 km on a single charge.
