But ordinary users will get Windows 10X in the spring
Microsoft does not hide its plans to release a fundamentally new variation of the proprietary operating system – modular Windows 10X. Its release has been repeatedly postponed, but the “light at the end of the tunnel” is already visible.
A fundamentally new Windows will be ready by the end of the year
Windows Central Editor-in-Chief Zac Bowden has posted on Twitter that the Windows 10X platform will enter the final RTM (Release To Manufacturers) stage in December. At the same time, the release for ordinary users will take place in the spring of 2021 with a high probability.
The source notes that it is not sure if Microsoft plans to conduct any public testing. And if it does, then most likely, after reaching the RTM stage.
Earlier it was reported that in the second quarter of 2021 Microsoft may release the first preview of the new modular Windows 10X OS for devices with one screen, and the version of Windows 10X for devices with two screens was expected even later.
