A Reddit user under the pseudonym BeesWX shared two screenshots of the upcoming mod for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which aims to add Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater to the game.
A group of enthusiasts is working on the recreation of the third part of Metal Gear Solid in the fifth. Beeswax is one of the team members – he also spoke about the production progress.
According to BeesWX, while the business is very close, but the project is progressing rapidly. When the developers have enough content, they will publish a teaser mod.
When an interested user asked about the modification’s scope, BeesWX replied that the team is trying to “do as much as possible”: in particular, to recreate all the sections from the game.
However, at this stage of the development of the project, we are only talking about the content of the “Virtue” mission, preceding the main part of the passage (the “Snake Eater” mission).
At the same time, enthusiasts do not aim at a full-fledged remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: the tools of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain do not yet provide the corresponding opportunities for modders.
Konami itself, which owns the rights to the series, is in no hurry to modernize Kojima Productions’ cult stealth action games. Moreover, at the end of January, the publishing house even had to refute rumors about its gaming divisions’ dissolution.
