A new version of Chuwi iBook has been released – a 2-in-1 tablet UBook X

Chuwi released the 2-in-1 Ubook last year, which was marketed as an affordable alternative to Microsoft’s Surface devices. Now in her portfolio, there is an updated version of iBook – a 2-in-1 tablet UBook X running Windows 10 operating system.

The 790-gram UBook X is powered by an Intel Gemini Lake N4100 processor with UHD 600 graphics, a 12-inch, 2K resolution, 3: 2 aspect ratio, and a stylus capable of 4096 pressure levels.

For laptops and tablets, a 16: 9 aspect ratio was commonly used, but Microsoft Surface tablets began to use displays with an aspect ratio of 3: 2, which Microsoft strongly recommends for use in devices since it is close to the proportions of a sheet of A4 paper. In addition, this screen ratio is said to be more suitable for text-based applications such as notes, as well as more comfortable when reading e-books and processing documents. This ratio is reported to provide a more pleasing visual experience when watching movies or visiting websites.

The iBook X features a 12-inch 2K (2160 x 1440) IPS display for crisp, lifelike images with lots of fine detail. The Book X comes with an optional HiPen H6 stylus with 4096 sensitivity levels for sketching, diagramming, and data entry.

The tablet is powered by an Intel Celeron N4100 quad-core processor (Gemini Lake generation) with a clock speed of 2.4GHz, integrated Intel UHD 600 graphics, and low power consumption, making the Ubook X longer battery life than most laptops and tablets.

The volume of dual-channel LPDDR4 RAM is 8 GB, the capacity of the tablet’s solid-state drive is 256 GB, plus there is a slot for microSD memory cards. The device specification also includes USB Type-C and USB 3.0 Type-A ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, micro HDMI port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac / a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters.

Made of lightweight aluminum-magnesium alloy, the tablet case is only 9 mm thick, length and width are equal to 292.19 and 207.89 mm, respectively. It has a fold-out stand that allows you to position the device at a comfortable angle depending on the scenario of its use. The magnetically attached keyboard turns the gadget into a laptop.

The Chuwi UBook X tablet can be purchased for $ 399. Each user who bought a new product from July 30 to August 2 will receive a keyboard as a gift.
