A nude woman emerged from a car on a major Bay Area bridge and began shooting a gun
On Tuesday, a motorist caused chaos on the major Bay Area span as she got out of her car while naked and began firing a gun into the air, as per the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident was initiated by a report of a reckless driver on eastbound Interstate 80 at approximately 4:40 p.m. A 911 caller informed dispatchers that the driver seemed to be carrying a gun.
The driver stopped on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, also known as the Bay Bridge and part of I-80, and stepped out of her car, brandishing a knife while yelling at other drivers. She returned to her car briefly but then stopped again near the toll plaza.
This time, she emerged from her vehicle naked and armed with a gun, firing shots into the air and at other vehicles, according to the CHP.
Law enforcement promptly arrested her, and she was transported from the bridge in an ambulance. For safety measures, several lanes of traffic were temporarily closed so officers could search for shell casings, leading to significant delays.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident, and the motorist’s identity has not been disclosed.
As of now, there is no information available regarding the motivation behind her actions, as captured on video.
