Hongqi E-HS9 is impressive, powerful, and environmentally friendly
In China, sales of a car are starting, which could challenge the Aurus Komendant SUV from the Cortege project: Hongqi E-HS9 is similar to our Aurus size but also in spirit. The fact is that under the Hongqi brand (pronounced as “Chongqing,” and in translation, it means “red banner”), cars are produced in China for the local nomenclature.
Acceleration 4 s to 100 km / h and a cruising range of 500 km. Aurus Komendant, a large inexpensive electric crossover Hongqi E-HS9, starts selling in China
However, if ideologically, Aurus Komendant and Hongqi E-HS9 are really very close, then they have nothing in common from a technical point of view. If the project Cortege uses a hybrid power plant with a 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine, the Hongqi E-HS9 is a pure electric car with two electric motors: the front axle’s power is 218 hp, the power of the rear axle is 333 hp. Total power 551 hp against 580-600 hp at the “Commandant.”
Hongqi E-HS9 received a traction battery with a capacity of 92.4 kWh; the declared cruising range is 500 km, which is not bad, given the decent mass of the electric vehicle and a length of almost 5.3 m. Simultaneously, the dynamics are at the level: up to 100 km / h, the SUV accelerates in 4 seconds.
We don’t need to talk about the wealth of equipment Hongqi E-HS9, so let’s go straight to prices. The basic version of the SUV is estimated at $ 78,000; the top-end version is $ 112,000. There is no cost for the Aurus Komendant yet, but you can focus on the Aurus Senat platform sedan’s cost – $ 290,000. And if the Komendant is still a distant prospect, then the Hongqi E-HS9 is already real can be ordered in China and received at your own disposal after a few months of waiting.
