Action The Falconeer can reach 120 fps on Xbox Series X and S

Developer Tomas Sala has provided details on how the upcoming action game The Falconeer will work on Xbox consoles. As it turns out, this is one of the games the Xbox Series S is capable of playing at resolutions above 1440p.

The Falconeer on Xbox Series X and S will get two modes of operation: Standard and Performance. The first gives priority to graphics, the second gives priority to frame rates. Xbox Series X will deliver 4K gaming at 60fps. In performance mode, the resolution is lower – 1800p, but the frame rate will be 120fps. On Xbox Series S, the game will hit 1800p @ 60fps in standard mode and 1080p @ 120fps in performance mode. Both next-gen consoles are equipped with an SSD, so The Falconeer boots up in just 13 seconds.

Unlike the new consoles, the Xbox One X version will run at 1800p @ 60fps, while the Xbox One S will hit 1080p @ 60fps. The performance mode is out of the question. Load time on current generation consoles is 42 seconds.

On a blog, Thomas Sala admired the power of the new consoles, saying the Xbox Series X version reaches 4K at 60fps in full “PC mode” This means that the version supports “all those fancy effects” from the PC, which are often missing in console games.

The Falconeer will be released on November 10 on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One.
