Activision Blizzard talks about its games for this year: Call of Duty, remasters and no Diablo IV with Overwatch 2

First, Derkin mentioned that Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 will not be released this year. We will remind, literally in January, there were reports of a significant slowdown in the development of a hero shooter.

Secondly, the annual plan of Activision Blizzard for Call of Duty has not changed: in the fourth quarter (that is, from October to December) the release of the next “powerful premium ” part of the series is expected.

Third, the publisher is preparing new remasters: “We have a few things up our sleeve in terms of updated content, which we will present in due course. They should give us additional opportunities this year

Earlier, the Bloomberg portal, citing its own sources, reported that Vicarious Visions, a studio that recently joined Blizzard, is working on a modernized version of Diablo II.

As for Overwatch 2, the next demo of a hero shooter is expected at BlizzConline. The festival will be held online from 19 to 20 February this year.

Overwatch 2 is being created for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, while Diablo IV is announced for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. However, in anticipation of the release, the list of target platforms for both projects may still change.
