Former Activision Blizzard employee and Acclaim Entertainment founder Greg Fischbach have announced the creation of a new publishing company, Accelerate Games. Her first game will be the next project in the Toy Soldiers series from Signal Studios.

According to the announcement, the new publisher is committed to building long-term collaborative relationships with developers, starting with Signal Studios and the next installment of the Toy Soldiers franchise, due next year on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

“What we love about Toy Soldiers is the combination of historical accuracy, hardcore action, and strategy, as well as humor and infectious gameplay,” said Fischbach. “The extraordinary replay potential and multiplayer features are sure to grab the attention of old fans and an army of new ones

The relationship with Signal Studios is a little deeper than a standard developer-publisher deal, as studio partner Brett Gow is also a co-founder of Accelerate Games.

Significantly, the company marks the return of Fischbach to the industry, who for several years in the eighties served as president of Activision International and ran Acclaim from its founding in 1987 to bankruptcy in 2004.
