Add-ons, release on new consoles and photo mode: publisher Ghostrunner talks about the development plan for the game until the end of autumn
Following the acquisition of the rights to Ghostrunner, 505 Games has unveiled a blueprint for a cyberpunk slasher from One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks for the coming months.
As it became known, until the end of spring, Ghostrunner is waiting for the Kill Run mode (the time to complete the level is limited), the photo mode, and paid content of a cosmetic nature.
Over the summer, the developers promise to release two new packs of unknown content, another portion of cosmetic items, and an as-yet-unannounced game mode.
Finally, during the fall, there will be a kind of “ultimatum” addition, another set of “cosmetics,” and a version of Ghostrunner for the next generation consoles – PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S.
As a reminder, the acquisition of the Ghostrunner franchise from the Polish publishing house All In! Games cost 505 Games € 5 million. Co-founders Raphael Galante and Abramo Galante commented on the deal.
“Ghostrunner is one of the most impressive indie games we’ve seen: AAA technology, a unique futuristic cyberpunk-inspired world that is both mesmerizing and terrifying at the same time. Ghostrunner is a good addition to 505 Games’ intellectual property library, ”Galante said in a press release.
Ghostrunner is currently available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna. By the end of 2020, sales of the game exceeded 500 thousand copies.
