The Russian airline Aeroflot has launched a new bonus program – from October 2, compensation for flight delays will begin to be issued with miles from the Aeroflot Bonus loyalty program.

As noted in the press service, miles will be awarded in the event of a flight delay due to the fault of the airline, in addition to the compensation measures established by law.
Compensation miles are awarded in the following amounts:
delay time from 2 to 4 hours – 2,000 miles;
delay time from 4 to 8 hours – 3,000 miles;
delay time from 8 hours – 4,000 miles.
If the membership number is included in the booking, miles will be credited automatically. In other cases, passengers who are entitled to compensation must register in the Aeroflot Bonus program and, no later than 30 days from the date of delay, send an online request through the feedback form with the subject “Flight Delay”.
