Aeroflot Group announced the completion of the insurance settlement process with the Irish lessor AerCap for 18 aircraft and 5 aircraft engines. In other words, Aeroflot bought 18 Airbus and Boeing aircraft. It is noted that these aircraft will become the property of the NSK insurance company, which paid the settlement amount.

“ The process of settling relations with the lessor AerCap [Ireland] for 18 aircraft and five aircraft engines operated by Aeroflot group companies has been completed. By the agreement reached, AerCap ceased its claims against Russian parties both under insurance policies issued by Russian insurance companies and under leasing agreements with Aeroflot PJSC and Rossiya Airlines JSC,” Aeroflot said.

Aeroflot Group noted that such negotiations with other lessors of foreign-made aircraft will continue.

As for NSK, it was registered on November 23, 2022. The company is 100% owned by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Administration of Civil Airports (Airfields), which is administered by the Federal Air Transport Agency. The organization manages the property of airfield complexes throughout Russia.
