Age of Empires III Remaster Goes On Sale October 15th With Graphical Improvements And New Content

Microsoft publishing house and developer studio Tantalus Media presented a trailer and announced the release date of Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition as part of the Gamescom 2020 opening ceremony.

The updated version of Age of Empires III will go on sale on October 15 this year exclusively for PC (Steam, Windows 10). To announce the release date, the start of pre-orders was also timed.

In the Valve digital distribution store, the remaster of Age of Empires III costs 435 rubles, while in the Microsoft Store they ask for $ 20 for the project. In addition, the game will be included in the Xbox Game Pass library at launch.

At the same time, owners of the full edition of the original Age of Empires III or any of the two previous Definitive Editions are entitled to a 25% discount on Steam. The exact same promotion awaits Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition will receive support for 4K resolution, redesigned 3D models, modernized interface, cross-platform multiplayer, as well as improved soundtrack and sound.

In addition to all the available content, the re-release will offer two new modes (Historical Battles and The Art of War) and a couple of additional civilizations – the Swedes and the Incas.

The developers also promise that members of the Age of Empires Insider program will have the opportunity to try out Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition ahead of its October release.
