Air Canada will purchase 18 “dream airliners” from Boeing – Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.

The new aircraft will replace older ones in the Air Canada fleet. Air Canada currently operates 30 Boeing 787-9 and eight Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Two more Boeing 787-9s are scheduled for delivery as part of the previous order.

The Boeing 787-10 is the largest model of the Dreamliner family; depending on the cabin configuration, it can carry more than 330 passengers, and the cargo compartment volume is 175 m 3.

The acquisition of a large number of Boeing 787-10 Dreamlines is part of Air Canada’s large fleet renewal program. As part of this, the air carrier continues to accept new Airbus A220s and also plans to purchase 28 ultra-long-haul Airbus A321neo XLRs. Air Canada has also agreed to purchase 30 ES-30 electric hybrid aircraft being developed by Heart Aerospace, which is expected to begin service in 2028.
