This aircraft will be delivered to Air India in winter
Air India tweeted a photo of the wide-body long-haul aircraft wearing the signature livery it acquired in Toulouse.
The interesting news for us is that this is the first of six such A350s that were originally ordered by Aeroflot. However, due to sanctions imposed last year, the finished aircraft were redirected to another customer. In this case, such an air carrier was Air India.

These six are far from the only Airbus A350s for Air India. Over the next few years, the airline will receive 34 more Airbus A350-1000s. As for Aeroflot, as of 2022, it had 7 Airbus A350-900 at its disposal. In Russia, there is no direct substitute for this airliner, but given that with the introduction of sanctions, many countries have closed for Russian aircraft, the country does not have a particular need for such vessels now – there are no areas in which they could be effectively used.
