AirPods Pro-Lite fully wireless earbuds to launch in the first half of next year
According to TheElec, sources from Apple have confirmed that the company is working on fully wireless AirPods Pro-Lite earbuds, which will be released at a more affordable price due to the removal of the active noise canceling function.
AirPods Pro Lite will be 20% cheaper than AirPods Pro, while headphones will lose active noise cancellation
The publication claims that Apple plans to further strengthen its position in the market for wireless headphones, which continues to grow rapidly. The source adds that the fully wireless AirPods Pro-Lite earbuds will launch in the first half of next year.
The AirPods Pro Lite is expected to be priced roughly 20% less than the AirPods Pro, which uses Active Noise Canceling technology.
The company is currently developing an updated System in Package (SiP) architecture based on Apple’s H1 chipset. Testing of the device will begin soon, and mass production will start early next year.
Apple originally planned to release the AirPods Pro-Lite right after the AirPods Pro. However, the demand and popularity of the latter exceeded expectations, which caused the company to delay the release in order to maximize its sales and profits.
We will remind you, yesterday the first on-ear wireless headphones Apple AirPods Max went on sale.
