At the PlayStation Showcase event, Alan Wake 2 was shown, and the release date was also announced. Remedy’s new dark project will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Epic Games Store on October 17, 2023.
The developers are trying to make the sequel appeal to both fans of the series and new gamers. It’s been 13 years since the original game launched. In the video, we are shown the locations of Bright Falls and episodes of ritual murders, accompanied by the classic narration by Wake. Remedy stated that the sequel turns the series into a full-fledged survival horror.
