Chinese giant Alibaba is planning to launch its proprietary ChatGPT-like chatbot in the near future. The company has been working on it for some time, and the launch is planned for this month.
According to Chinese media, Alibaba’s version of ChatGPT has already been found in the Tmall Genie smart speaker app. That is, the application has already been downloaded, it remains only to wait for its launch. Note that Baidu and JD.com have already presented their versions of AI-enabled chatbots.

Alibaba is expected to launch a “large-scale model” of its chatbot during the 2023 Cloud Summit in Beijing, but no exact date has been given. It’s also unclear what languages Alibaba’s chatbot will be available in, what regions it will launch first, and what features it will offer.
Earlier it was reported that Baidu announced its analogue ChatGPT, although it did not have time to complete it.
