So, Huawei Mate 40 will receive a 90-hertz OLED display with Full HD + resolution, while the Mate 40 Pro will have a curved waterfall screen with a resolution of 1333p with support for the same 90 Hz. The heart of both new products will be the SoC Kirin 1020, which will be produced using the 5 nm process technology. This should be Huawei’s latest flagship platform in the foreseeable future, as TSMC will no longer be able to produce products for the Chinese giant. Although, perhaps, Huawei will be able to find another semiconductor manufacturer.

The younger version will have 6 or 8 GB of RAM, the older – 8 or 12 GB. Flash memory – 128 or 256 for the youngest and 128, 256, or 512 GB for the older. The Mate 40 will receive a battery with a capacity of 4200-4500 mAh with support for 40-watt charging, while the Mate 40 Pro will have a battery with a capacity of 4500-5000 mAh with support for a new 66-watt charge for Huawei. Wireless charging power will be 27 and 40 watts, respectively.

The cameras will be different, although the main sensor will be identical. This is a sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels, probably the same as that used in the P40 line. Mate 40 will also receive a 16-megapixel “shirk” and some kind of “telephoto” with a triple optical zoom. Mate 40 Pro in addition to the main sensor can boast another one of the same, but with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There will also be a “telephoto” with fivefold zoom and a ToF sensor. The front camera of the younger model will include a 16-megapixel sensor and a ToF sensor, and the older one will include a 32-megapixel sensor and a ToF sensor. At the same time, the cutout in the screen in the form of a bang will be saved, but the older model will supposedly have less. Another important difference is protection against water and dust. The Mate 40 is IP53, the Mate 40 Pro is IP68.

As for prices, the younger model will cost from 645 to 785 dollars, depending on the configuration, the older – from 930 to 1145 dollars.

In general, the parameters look quite real, and the source does not attribute anything supernatural to smartphones. Therefore, if in the end there are any differences, it is unlikely to be very significant.
