Alleged Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite Certified by Wi-Fi Alliance

An as-yet-unannounced Samsung smartphone with model number SM-F415F / DS has been spotted in the Wi-Fi Alliance database. Although its commercial name is currently unknown, based on the model number it can be inferred that the device will belong to the Galaxy Fold series. As a reminder, the original Galaxy Fold, which was unveiled at the end of 2019, was given the model number F900.

The device, which was spotted in the Wi-Fi Alliance database, is likely to become a more affordable version of the Galaxy Fold, as the number in its name is less than the first smartphone of the family and the Galaxy Z Flip. This is in line with rumors last year that Samsung was planning to release a more affordable foldable smartphone. Of course, the device can hardly be called affordable in the usual sense. It is expected to cost around $ 1,000, while the original Fold is close to $ 2,000.

According to the Wi-Fi Alliance certification, the new smartphone will not support Wi-Fi 6, which once again confirms that we are talking about a more affordable device, deprived of the flagship chipset. Perhaps the basis of the novelty will be the Qualcomm 765G or even a simpler chip.
