Amazon warned of delayed Xbox Series X pre-orders, but promised to deliver them before the end of the year
Amazon’s online store has warned Xbox Series X buyers of a possible delay in pre-orders for the console. This was reported by several Twitter users who received relevant emails from the platform.
The store clarified that more console shipments are expected soon to deliver all orders. All devices are expected to arrive by or before December 31st. How many devices will be delivered with a delay is not specified. The reasons for the problems were not specified.
Previously, Amazon sent out similar emails notifying of delays in PS5 pre-orders. This happened after the opening of pre-orders in September. Then the company warned users that some of the devices may not have time to arrive by November 12.
In late October, Xbox chief Phil Spencer told GameReactor that all PS5 and Xbox Series produced will be sold in 2020. He noted that this is due to the pandemic, which has increased user interest in video games.
