Xeon’s Comet Lake-H lineup on the way
We first learned about Intel Xeon mobile processors in the Comet Lake-H line a couple of months ago.
Then it was reported about the eight-core model W-10885M with a frequency of up to 5.3 GHz and the six-core Xeon W-10855M with a frequency of up to 5.1 GHz.
Since then, no information about these CPUs has appeared on the Web. But yesterday, the senior Xeon W-10885M appeared in the test, which allows us to find out the details. Firstly, the base frequency of this processor is 2.4 GHz.
That is, technically, the Xeon W-10885M is identical to the top-end Core i9-10980HK. Of course, Xeon will have support for ECC memory and Intel vPro technology, but in general, the level of performance can be judged by the Core i9-10980HK.
Secondly, the Xeon W-10885M scored 21 687 points in the Fire Strike test (Physics), and 9145 points in the Time Spy test. And this is slightly larger than the Ryzen 9 4900HS, although directly comparing these CPUs is, of course, pointless.
Mobile Xeon is one of the few line of processors from Intel, for which AMD actually has no competitors. When the Xeon W-10885M and the rest of the CPU line will be released, it is unknown.
