AMD has unveiled the world’s largest adaptive single-chip system. The Versal Premium VP1902 is an emulation-grade IC device designed to simplify the verification of semiconductor designs. The new FPGA is designed for emulation and prototyping.

Compared to the previous generation, the VP1902 offers twice the capacity to emulate next generation prototype products. The new FPGA provides 18.5 million logical cells.

Mass production of the new FPGA will start in early 2024, but some customers will have access to it as early as the third quarter of this year.
