Announcement is expected on June 16

A few days ago, information appeared on the web that AMD was allegedly preparing updated desktop CPUs of the current generation Matisse. Then one of the sources indicated the names Ryzen 7 3750X and Ryzen 7 3850X, and in general the information was indirectly confirmed by Gigabyte, on one of the slides of which one could see the mention of the Matisse Refresh processors.

The WCCF Tech resource claims that it was able to get confirmation that AMD is really preparing at least three updated Ryzen 3000 CPUs. However, the source indicates slightly different names: Ryzen 9 3900XT, Ryzen 7 3700XT, and Ryzen 5 3600XT.

New items will retain the core configuration of current models, but they will be able to boost higher frequencies and more accurate algorithms for increasing productivity, which should ultimately provide a performance increase of 5-10%.

This is not much, but earlier the same Intel had times when such growth was provided by a new generation. In any case, obviously changing the Ryzen 5 3600 / 3600X to the Ryzen 5 3600XT will not make sense.

Why is AMD such an update? It is likely that its CPU would look even better against competitors in the face of the Core i9-10900K, Core i7-10700K, and Core i5-10600K. There is no data on the price, but it can be assumed that the updated CPUs will cost as much as the current models. True, it is not a fact that at first this equality will take place in reality.

It is expected that the new AMD will present on June 16, and the start of sales and the lifting of the ban on the publication of reviews is scheduled for July 7.
