Analysts: Larger Company May Buy CDPR After Problematic Cyberpunk 2077 Launch

Analysts’ article reads: “CDPR shares fell 50%. This is unacceptable for a company producing an advanced, industry-impacting product. A larger public company could have avoided this through simple audience communication and marketing. Unfortunately, CD Projekt’s reputation is tarnished. Now the studio has become one of the acquisition candidates. Obviously, this [Cyberpunk 2077 release] is exactly the case when the marketing and publishing capabilities of a large company would have worked wonders

Despite the problematic launch of the game, DFC Intelligence calls it promising. In the future, the developers will fix bugs and release versions for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. At the same time, interest in Cyberpunk 2077 continues to persist among the audience.

Analysts recall that Microsoft was considered the main contender for the purchase of CD Projekt RED. But not so long ago, she announced the acquisition of ZeniMax Media for $ 7.5 billion and in the near future, she probably will not want to go to another big deal. Now for CDPR, according to DFC Intelligence, will have to pay about the same as for the parent company Bethesda Softworks.
