Users complain of numerous crashes when connecting to Android Auto
Google released the stable version of the Android 11 operating system last week. As is often the case, the launch did not go very smoothly.
Android 11 brought problems to car enthusiasts, up to the destruction of the smartphone
In particular, the problems affected the Android Auto platform. Car users have complained about various crashes when connecting a smartphone with Android 11 installed to Android Auto. The problems differ from user to user.
Some complain that the music does not play “smoothly”, others complain about the missing calendar application. For others, notifications are muted, and phone calls do not go through the car’s stereo system. Crashes have been reported with navigation apps, including Waze.
For at least a couple of users, smartphones have even become inoperative, requiring a rollback to the factory settings. After that, the problem with connecting to Android Auto did not disappear, but the smartphone worked.
However, not all users of smartphones with Android 11 have problems with Android Auto. The new OS version now supports wireless connection to Android Auto for any smartphones.
