Dropped support for Daydream VR
Google has ended support for the Daydream VR platform with the release of the Android 11 operating system. This is reported on the updated support page for the Daydream service.
Android 11 puts an end to yet another Google service
Google stopped selling Daydream View VR kits a year ago, but many apps stopped supporting them long before that. Also, support for the platform has been discontinued in Pixel smartphones starting with the 2019 models.
It is now reported that the Daydream VR software is no longer supported by Google and the Daydream VR app will not work correctly on devices with Android 11 and newer OS versions. However, third-party Daydream-enabled apps may still be offered on the Google Play store.
