EA Sports games will run on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S without upgrades. On PlayStation 5, projects will receive a version for the PlayStation 4 Pro, but with reduced load times and higher frame rates.

The company will release the next-generation versions of Madden NFL 21 and FIFA 21 on December 4. But if you want to play them before and have already purchased them for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, you can get the updates for Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 for free.

In Star Wars: Squadrons, there are two options for improving gameplay on Xbox Series X and S: one for better visuals and one for better performance. In the first option, the game will receive graphics with an improved lighting model. On Xbox Series X, the game will run at up to 4K @ 60fps, on Xbox Series S up to 1440p @ 60fps.

In performance mode, the game will run up to 4K @ 120fps and up to 1440p @ 120fps, respectively. A motive has also added an option to enable/disable VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) for users with TVs that support this technology.

On the PlayStation 5, the game will run with improved lighting, but with the same resolution and frame rate as on the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Season 7 of Apex Legends just kicked off with an update for the next generation of consoles. Game resolution on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5 has grown to 1440p. Other improvements are only planned for next year.

The Sims 4 on next-gen consoles will run with fast load times and smooth frame rates. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will continue to run like legacy consoles. PlayStation 5 is like PlayStation 4 Pro.

Xbox Series X and S will release on November 10. The PlayStation 5 will go on sale on November 19.
