Apple Car electric car will be released no earlier than 2025, or even much later

Prominent analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities commented on the new wave of rumours that Apple is developing its own self-driving electric vehicle. Reports from sources about Apple’s work on Project Titan have appeared on the Internet more than once, but the company has never confirmed its reliability.

In a research note for investors, which was reviewed by AppleInsider, Ming-Chi Kuo warned investors against rushing to buy shares in companies allegedly related to Apple’s automotive activities. Buying shares in related companies is “an impulsive reaction that may not last long, ” Kuo said. He believes that there are at least three reasons why investors should not rush into this.

According to the analyst, it should be borne in mind that it is not yet clear when the electric car of the Cupertino, California-based company will see the light of day. It is also unknown what specifications it will have and whether it will be competitive in the electric and self-driving car market.

While a previous report by TF Securities predicted an electric Apple Car will be released between 2023 and 2025, the company’s latest research suggests that there is no clarity about the Apple Car development timeline. If Apple began operations in 2020 and everything goes and will go without too much trouble, then a potential launch of an autonomous car, according to TF Securities, could happen between 2025 and 2027.

“ Due to changes in the electric and self-driving car market and Apple’s high-quality standards, we wouldn’t be surprised if Apple Car’s launch schedule is pushed back to 2028 or later, ” Kuo added.

In a note to the TF Securities research note, it is stated that the reported Apple Car and supplier specs are ” just market speculation, ” so it’s too early to talk about final specs long before its scheduled release.
