Music records will move to the “Dictaphone”
Apple has begun to notify users of the upcoming closure of the Music Memos app.
Apple closes Music Memos and releases final update for it
The app is designed to easily record and collect your musical ideas using your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. A sort of “note-booker” for musicians, its functionality is broader than just the “Dictaphone”. Apple unveiled Music Memos in 2016 and recently released its first app update in over a year, just to start preparing for the closure.
Music Memos version 1.0.7 brings the only innovation: the ability to export Music Memos recordings to the Voice Recorder app.
On the official Music Memos page and in the support document on the Apple website, it is noted that from March 1, 2021, the Music Memos application will become unavailable to new users, and music recordings will begin to move to Dictaphone. Music Memos can still be used on iOS 14 and iPad OS 14, but the app will no longer be updated.
