Apple said developers can now enable Family Sharing for auto-renewing subscriptions and in-app purchases. This allows users to share purchases with up to five other family members.

Apple says Family Sharing makes using its devices more convenient. It also helps developers gain subscribers and encourage more users to subscribe to paid content. This ultimately keeps users in the iOS ecosystem.

As previously reported, a Share New Subscriptions option has been added to the Subscriptions setting in the Apple App Store, allowing family members to share related apps with a subscription automatically. This option is available in the current iOS 14.2.

Optionally, you can turn off the Share New Subscriptions option in the Apple App Store settings.
