“Apple Doesn’t Want People to Use WhatsApp” – WhatsApp Head on Unknown War with Apple

In the Big Technology podcast, WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart discussed a variety of issues, with one of the most interesting being the unknown war between WhatsApp and Apple.

When asked if Apple considers Facebook to be its biggest competitor, Will Cathcart said Apple’s main goal is for everyone to use the iPhone, but not Android. For example, iMessage is widely used in the United States because the iPhone is a very popular smartphone in that country.

If users switch to WhatsApp or other messengers, then it is easier for them to communicate with their friends and family who use iPhone and Android. Apple doesn’t want people to use WhatsApp as they don’t want people to use Android smartphones.
