iOS 16.5 brings new lock screen wallpapers in Pride colors in honor of the LGBTQ+ community and culture.

A number of bugs have also been fixed:

  1. Spotlight freezing issue fixed.
  2. Fixed an issue that caused issues with downloading podcasts to Apple CarPlay.
  3. Fixed an issue with resetting Screen Time settings and sync issues between devices.

Special attention should be paid to security fixes.

According to Apple’s security support documents, the iOS 16.5 update fixes a long list of vulnerabilities, including three WebKit “holes” that have been heavily exploited by attackers.

Update 15.7.6 has also been released for iPhones and iPads that do not support iOS 16. The update fixes a number of bugs and improves performance. You can install it on devices such as iPhone 6s (all models), iPhone 7 (all models), iPhone SE (1st generation), iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and newer, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation).
