Total game costs were $ 16,293 over several months
A six-year-old child spent more than $ 16,000 to buy content in his favorite iPad game, and Apple refused to return the money spent in the App Store.
Apple is accused of fraud: the company refuses to return the $ 16,000 that the child spent on one iPad game
Jessica Johnson, from Wilton, Connecticut, was late to discover that her registered card for purchases in the App Store had completed many transactions over the past few months.
These payments were made by Jessica’s 6-year-old son, George, who loves Sonic Forces and regularly buys an in-game currency and other content. According to local media reports, in July this year, George began buying various content for Sonic Forces at prices ranging from $ 2 to $ 100 per package. Over the course of several months, total gaming costs were $ 16,293.
Apple refused to return the money to Jessica Johnson because she did not make a request within 60 days after these payments. Johnson, on the other hand, said it was a scam because she had not received the corresponding expense notices.
It can be assumed that in the Johnson family everything is in order with income since it is very, very difficult not to notice the disappearance of such an amount even in a few months.
