Logic Pro X 10.5 adds new tools for creating electronic music
Apple introduced the Logic Pro X software update, which completely redesigned the professional Live Loops sampling tool and added new features for creating rhythms. According to the developer, Logic Pro X 10.5 “opens up unique opportunities for all musicians, especially the creators of electronic music.”
The aforementioned Live Loops feature gives Logic users unique opportunities for free non-linear music creation, as loops, samples, and recordings can be arranged on a new music grid, adding new sounds and performance options. Tracks from this grid are editable using all Logic features.
The Live Loops feature is complemented by the Remix FX plugin, which includes a large collection of electronic effects that can be applied in real-time to individual tracks or to the entire composition. The free Logic Remote app lets you control Live Loops and Remix FX using gestures on the touch screen of your iPhone or iPad.
The EXS24 industry-standard Sampler plugin allows you to create and customize sophisticated sampled instruments, while Quick Sampler allows you to quickly and easily turn any sound into a full-featured musical instrument. You can select source sounds from Logic, Finder, or Voice Recorder, or record them directly into Quick Sampler.
In addition, Logic Pro X 10.5 includes a whole set of new creative tools for working with original rhythms. This is the editor of Step Sequencer, which makes it possible to program rhythms, melodic patterns and bass lines in the interface of classical drums; Drum Synth instrument, which includes an extensive collection of bass and snare drums, toms and percussion sounds; and the Drum Machine Designer tool for creating drum kits.
The manufacturer emphasizes that the application is optimized for the capabilities of Mac computers and the macOS operating system. This allows you to work even with the most demanding projects, including thousands of tracks and hundreds of plug-ins, in real-time.
Logic Pro X 10.5 is now available. Existing Logic Pro X users can update the program for free, and new users can buy in the Mac App Store for 14,990 rubles.
