From the UK to Poland and Peru
Apple has increased the cost of iCloud cloud storage in several regions of the world at once, including the UK, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South America.
Each Apple ID account holder gets 5GB of free cloud storage, but users can upgrade to a paid iCloud+ plan to get 50GB, 200GB, or 2TB of storage. The price increase of about 25% was noticed by the thematic resource 9to5Mac.
Apple Raises iCloud Prices in Many Countries
So, until this week in the UK, Apple was charging £0.79/month for 50GB, £2.49/month for 200GB, and £6.99/month for 2TB. These prices have now risen to £0.99, £2.99 and £8.99 per month respectively.
Similar growth occurred in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Tanzania, South Africa, Colombia, Peru, Brazil. Prices in the US, Canada and the European Union remained unchanged.
