Apple releases final update for Music Memos app

It became known that Apple decided to stop the development of the Music Memos application, with which users could record voice notes, as well as music samples and even full tracks. Users are encouraged to transfer their notes to the Voice Memos app, and music recordings to Garage Band.

It should be said that the Music Memos app has remained largely unchanged since its release in 2016. Since it is a cross between a more convenient Voice Memos and a more functional Garage Band, the decision to stop its development does not come as a surprise. To summarize, the developers have released Music Memos 1.0.7 (for four years the application did not even reach version 1.1), this version will be the final one in the history of this Apple product.

Now, when opening Music Memos, users will see a message telling them to export files to Voice Memos. After confirming this action, all files will be moved and become available in the Music Memos folder. If you do not want to transfer files right away, the export process can be postponed for a week, but later the application will remind you to do this again.

According to reports, the Music Memos app will remain available for download from the App Store until March 1, 2021. For users who download the app before that date, Music Memos will remain available in their personal App Store library.
