Users who install the new software will be able to receive COVID-19 contact notifications simply by agreeing to use Express Situation Alerts. This will greatly facilitate the implementation of the service by the health authorities of states that do not have the resources to develop appropriate applications on their own. Apple reportedly consulted with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC, the Public Health Laboratories Association, and many others to develop a new express notification service.

States that choose to use COVID-19 Express Contact Notifications will only need to provide Apple with information on how to contact their health authorities, instructions for local residents, and advice on what to do. As well as a logo, criteria for triggering contact notifications and materials that will be provided to users in case of suspected contact with a sick person. At the moment, only 20 states have launched applications using Apple APIs.

The rest of the noticeable innovations in the new iOS 13.7 were not found. It is reported that the overall system performance has been improved and some bugs have been fixed.
