Apple to launch a pair of 6.1-inch iPhone 12s ahead of other models

It is no longer a secret that this fall Apple plans to introduce as many as four smartphones of the iPhone 12 series. The family is expected to include two more affordable smartphones and two advanced flagship devices. As you know, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the presentation of the iPhone 12 has been postponed to October.

DigiTimes today confirmed that the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will be the first to ship. In turn, the youngest 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and the most advanced 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will be delayed for several weeks. It is reported that this is due to the timing of the shipment of printed circuit boards. Their shipments for 5.4- and 6.7-inch iPhones have been somewhat delayed.

This somewhat contradicts the information voiced by reputable insider Jon Prosser, who said that the 5.4- and 6.1-inch base models of the iPhone 12 will be available shortly after the presentation, and the Pro version of the smartphone will only be available in November. … In any case, we will find out the exact information during the official presentation of smartphones.

Recall that Prosser previously announced that the new Apple Watch and iPad could be presented with a press release this Tuesday. As for the iPhone 12, their presentation will have to wait until October.
