The rumor was a large order for NOR flash memory that went to Taiwanese manufacturer Winbond. The order is said to be for the production of AirPods Pro headphones, which are slated to launch late in the first half of 2021. 

This is not the first rumor about the development of a new version of the AirPods Pro. One of the first to write about this was Mark Gurman of Bloomberg. He stated that the company is working on the second generation of AirPods Pro: the developers allegedly seek to make them more compact by removing the rod from the bottom of the headphones. The foodie clarified that Apple is testing a design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Buds. The journalist claimed that the novelty will be released in 2021.

In January, rumors about the development of headphones were published by the Japanese blog Mac Otakara. It has been claimed that Apple will release the second-generation AirPods Pro in April, along with the third version of the iPhone SE. Specifications were not disclosed, except that the charging case will receive a different size.
