Apple wants exclusive rights to broadcast Formula 1 races

If the deal is concluded, the broadcasts will only be available to watch on the Apple TV+ service, which will allow the company to attract completely new viewers.

The deal could cost Apple $2 billion a year. At the same time, even if the deal takes place, initially Apple will not have exclusive rights, since the rights of other companies have not yet expired. However, this will gradually happen, and Apple will ultimately remain the only source of broadcasts. This will happen, however, only in 2029. Apple itself is allegedly seeking to sign a seven-year contract.
