Smartwatches continue to help users in critical situations

Another story has emerged about how the Apple Watch smartwatch saved lives. William Rogers, a schoolteacher, skated on the Salmon Falls River in Somersworth on Sunday. He did this for many years, but that day the ice cracked and he fell into an icy river.

Rogers said that he tried to get out for a while, but the ice continued to break and could not stand it. Then he realized that he must remain calm and think about possible ways out of the situation. Suddenly, the idea came to my mind to use the Apple Watch to call for help. He called 911 using the emergency call function on his watch.

Later, an enthusiastic Rogers talked about how smartwatches saved his life. In a conversation with the operator, he said that he might not last more than 10 minutes. Fortunately, rescuers arrived within five minutes and pulled the man out of the icy water ..

The Apple Watch series is currently the best-selling smartwatch with over 100 million users. The models come with several essential features such as a heart rate monitor, ECG, fall detection and a feature that allows users to call emergency services when needed.

In January of this year, there was a story about a British cyclist who fell into a river , who was rescued after he asked for help with an Apple Watch.
