Apple will replace defective displays in iPhone 11 for free

Apple launched the iPhone 11 screen replacement program last Friday in connection with a defect that is causing a “small percentage” of this model’s displays to stop responding to touch.

It is reported that we are talking about devices that were produced in the period from November 2019 to May 2020. iPhone 11 owners who are experiencing a display issue can check if their smartphone is eligible for the program by entering its serial number on the replacement program page on Apple’s website. If the smartphone meets these requirements, Apple or its authorized service provider will replace the defective display free of charge.

If your smartphone display needs to be replaced, you can contact an Apple Authorized Service Provider for assistance, make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store, or contact Apple Support to arrange to mail your device.

The defective display replacement program applies to defective iPhone 11 smartphones for two years after the first retail sale. Those who have already repaired their devices at their own expense are encouraged to contact Apple Support for a refund.
