Manufacturers reduced orders for cameras for smartphones by 30%

Largan, a well-known supplier of lenses for smartphone cameras, recently released its April sales report. According to the data, the company’s revenue decreased by 13.98% compared with March, as well as by 6.03% year on year.

During this period, the company earned $ 155 million. The types of cameras sold in April are listed below:

  • 20 megapixels and above – 20-30%
  • 10 to 20 megapixels – 40-50%
  • From 8 to 10 megapixels – 20-30%
  • Less than 8 megapixels – 0-10%

It was also announced that smartphone makers cut their orders by 30% in the second quarter of this year. The following are listed companies and reduced orders:

  • Samsung – 30%
  • Oppo – 20-30%
  • Xiaomi – 10-20%
  • Huawei – 5-10%

Huawei has reduced orders to a minimum as China recovers, which is the company’s largest market.
