The device uses the Intel Tiger Lake hardware platform in the face of the Core i3-1115G4 processor with two cores (four threads), clocked at up to 4.1 GHz. The chip includes Intel UHD graphics. The operating system Chrome OS is used as a software platform.

Thus, as noted, ASUS became the first company in the world to actually start selling chromebooks based on Intel Tiger Lake. The same combination of OS and processor is used by the HP Chromebook x360 14c, it is not yet available for purchase.

As for the Chromebook Flip CX5, it is equipped with a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The screen can be rotated 360 degrees to use the device in tablet mode. Pen control is possible.

The equipment includes 8 GB of RAM, a 128 GB solid state drive, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A interfaces, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, HDMI 2.0a and a microSD slot.

The Chromebook in this configuration is priced at around $ 570.
